A company video of the 3D ‘printed’ building, which made headlines around the world last month.

The house, has been built in Xi’an, China by the ZhuoDa Group is ‘printed’ to include electricity, wireless tech and plumbing installed. Its simple modular design allows differing layouts according to demand.

A 200 sqm home costs around $95,000 – the developers say that price will fall: manufacture takes a week – assembly just three hours.

Unlike other forms of 3D printing of large structures, which use a cement base for construction, Zhuoda claims it does not. The the material that they use is being called a “secret”, although they have many parties interested in purchasing it.
