LIST OF RESOURCE PERSONS

QS (Dr) Alabo George, FNIQS will be speaking to the theme from the perspective of a Public Sector player, and he is expected to provide insights on Public Procurement Policies at the subnational level, particularly River State and how the State Government was able to navigate and deliver infrastructural projects despite the challenges.

QS (Dr) Andrew Ebekozien, MNIQS a Lecturer in the department of Quantity Surveying, Auchi Polytechnic will be presenting a paper on Managing Construction Project Risks in Turbulent times. The paper will speak to Risk Management Practices: process, benefits, issues militating against the adoption of the practices; Tools and Techniques used in Managing Construction Project Risks.

QS Faith Ezeugoh, FNIQS of Construction Kaiser will speak to the theme from the perspective of a Main Contractor. She will be dealing with commercial, contractual and supply management
issues. We have requested her to include examples on price escalations in respect of freight –
shipping and insurance and an elucidation on incoterms. The paper will also speak to some
other challenges faced by contractors and mitigation strategies.

QS Aminu Suleiman Abubakar, FNIQS of CDP Partnership Ltd will provide insights on how the consultancy has been managing projects. His presentations will also dwell on contractual issues and negotiations skills.

QS Oluwatomi Ogundare, MNIQS of EPCM Consultants Ltd, will be presenting a practice based paper on Project Management Methodologies and Project Planning/Controls. He is expected to provide lots of case studies and scenario based analysis.

QS Chijioke Micheal Iwuagwu, MNIQS of Arab Contractors Ltd will be making a practice and technical presentation on preparation of fluctuation claims.

Mr Charles Ughele of Offshore Capital LC will be presenting on Macroeconomic trends and the construction Industry. He will be focusing of inflation, FX etc and its impact on the industry.
